Ingredion Colombia hosts Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at ANDI Event
Ingredion Colombia was honored to be chosen as host of the Annual Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Experience Exchange Event organized by the National Association of Entrepreneurs of Colombia (ANDI). The company was chosen because of its 2023 Inclusive Company Seal award.
The event was held at the Company’s plant in Cali and had 50 participants from well-known companies, customers, government officials, foundations and associations who wanted to learn about Ingredion's DEI strategy. Representatives from companies such as Celsia, Davivienda, Claro, Frisby S.A BIC, the Cali Mayor's Office and the Governor's Office of Valle attended the event.
During the event, visitors toured the facilities and learned about the inclusive actions the Company carries out in its supply chain, with a special focus on its cassava project. We highlighted our inclusion efforts by showing our commitment to diversity and equity.
On the tour, visitors learned about the Company's comprehensive vision of inclusive practices that we use in our organization. In a special session with Jorge Ignacio Zapata, vice president and general manager of food and industrial ingredients in the Andean region and texture solutions pharma and B&H lead in LATAM and John Girón, laboratory coordinator and ABLE leader in the Andean region, they talked in detail about the company's All Life plan, and business resource affinity groups (BRG).
ANDI praised the Company’s efforts to create employment and supply opportunities that include populations that have traditionally been excluded, helping to solve their problems and valuing the diversity of their operating environment.
The recognition as an "Inclusive Company" shows our continuous commitment to diversity and inclusion.
